Discover Murinan
Murinan is a historic Japanese garden and villa located in the peaceful Higashiyama area of Kyoto.
Built in 1894 by Aritomo Yamagata, a prominent statesman of the Meiji era, Murinan is known for its beautiful strolling garden, serene pond, and the gentle flow of water coming from Lake Biwa Canal.
The garden is designed to highlight natural harmony, offering visitors a quiet escape from the city.
Inside the villa, there is an elegant traditional tea room, where seasonal light, shadows, and the sound of water create an atmosphere perfect for appreciating Japanese aesthetics.
Today, Murinan is a valuable cultural property of Kyoto and a popular location for tea ceremonies, cultural events, and photography.

＜Tea Ceremony Guidelines＞
This experience is a private session for one group only (up to 5 guests).

If sitting on the floor is difficult, you may sit in a comfortable position.

Photography is not allowed during the session.

No outside food or drinks are permitted inside the tea room.

If you arrive late, the session may be shortened due to scheduling.

Please note that Murin an does not handle inquiries regarding this event.

正座が難しい方は、楽な姿勢でご参加いただけます。
